Problem:

I get the error "Error Reading linearized hint data" when displaying a PDF file in the web browser, and the file will not display.

Solution:

This issue was first detected on acrobat version 5. It can be resolved by following these steps:

1. Open Adobe Acrobat Reader

2. Sselect Edit | Preferences | Options.

3. Disable the entry: "Allow fast web view".

4. Save the changes and reopen the web browser.
