Item Movement Optional Module
For use with the Unify3 POS System

Unify3 maintains the last three days, the last four weeks, and the last 60 months of item movement history including: Net Dollar Sales, Net Unit Count, Unit Returns, Net Discount Dollars, and Net Markdown Dollar. This module is a very useful module that is used by other Unify3 Optional Modules. The Item Movement Module allows you to historical item data, and it includes all of the following features.

· Item History parameters to allow the user to determine number of days, weeks and months of item movement history to maintain.
· Expand individual item movement period record to contain: Net Sales Dollars, Net Unit Count, Unit Returns, Net Discount Dollars, Net Markdown Dollars, Net Coupon Dollars, Promotional Ad Net Sales Dollars 1, Promotional Ad Net Unit Count 1, Promotional Ad Net Sales Dollars 2, Promotional Ad Net Unit Count 2, and the periods Average Cost.
· All item movement records are dynamically created, as Unify needs them. This means there is no pre-defining of item movement storage requirements. If an item is not sold on a particular day then Unify will not maintain a daily record for that item on that day; if an item is not sold in a particular week or month then Unify will not maintain a weekly or monthly record for that item for that particular period.
· All updating to item movement records is done dynamically by date "frames". There is no necessity for "rolling totals" or establishing "total buckets"; Progress Software Corporation's relational database structure makes maintaining item movement history totals an automatic End Of Day Closing function.
· Display and print capability that allows reporting on item movement by selected categories and date ranges.
· Enhanced "Velocity Report" that allows reporting on stores best or worst selling items either by quantity sold or net dollars sold.

Item Movement Parameters
The Item Movement module allows you to set the time length of storage for Item Movement data. You may set the length of time by Day, Week, and Month.
